No Name -Epilogue-

Loki hung his head in shame. He had come so achingly close to taking over this planet. It killed him on the inside. He looked around for a moment. This was probably the last time he'd see earth... Part of him didn't want that to be true because this was, after all, her planet. He almost wanted to ask Thor if he could visit her grave, but his hands were in shackles and his mouth had been covered with a muzzle.

Loki's eyes glazed over with pain. How could he have forgotten about her, even for a while? He felt as though he had betrayed her somehow.

He could still picture her from the first night they met: long blonde hair, bright green eyes... He looked down at his wrist where he hid her green ribbon. His heart seemed to twist as he pictured her lifeless body; he clenched his eyes shut, wanting to scream.

"Where's Rogers?" Natasha wondered out loud.

Clint shrugged and as if on cue, Steve rode up on his motorcycle. But there was someone riding with him.

Natasha spoke up first. "Steve, what are you doing? You can't bring anyone here."

"Relax, will you?" he snapped back as he helped the young woman off of the motorbike and out of her helmet.

"Phwa!" she breathed as her helmet was removed. She looked around with a star struck look. Her eyes were a bright green and she had wavy blonde hair that ended at her shoulders.

"Wow! The Avengers! How exciting!" she exclaimed in a thick German accent.

Loki's eyes widened when he heard the voice. It couldn't possibly be her! He was afraid to look. What would he do if it wasn't? What would he do if it was...?

Thor gave Tony a confused look and he stepped up to him.

He whispered to him, "Take the muzzle off. It'll just be for a moment."

Thor was confused, but did what Stark told him.

"Do you know why you're here, Miss Klein?" Steve asked with a smile.

She shook her head and smiled. He laughed and pointed her in the direction of Loki and Thor. She stopped smiling instantly. She knew who the man she fell for really was now, thanks to the news. She wasn't sure how to act, and watched blankly as Thor removed the muzzle. Unsure of what to do, she stepped toward Steve.

"He won't hurt you."

"Oh, I know that..."

Loki finally turned to face her. There she was! Alive! His heart was in his throat and his eyes shown with disbelief.

She smiled her heart melting smile and ran to him. She threw her arms around him and knocked him over.

"I'm sorry!" she said.

He smiled and hugged her tightly. He was just happy to see her alive and well. She buried her face in his chest and returned the embrace.

"If you had told me who you were I wouldn't have pestered you so much," she said into his chest. He chuckled.

'Will I ever see you again?" she asked after a moment, looking up with innocent eyes.

Loki kept silent and kissed her forehead.

"If the fates allow it..."

They kept silent for another moment, but then he remembered something. He grabbed her face rather quickly, causing her to jump and her eyes to widen.

"Your name! What's your name?" he asked. He would have regretted getting the chance to see her one last time without learning it.

She blinked in shock, and then laughed. She took his hands and held them close to her.

"My name is Lulu," she told him and he almost laughed. He should have guessed a name like that.

"Lulu," he repeated looking into her shining eyes.

Thor spoke up awkwardly.

"Brother, it is time."

Loki may have fought back, but he figured Lulu probably thought enough bad things about him from seeing it in the news. He only hoped that she remembered him the way they were on those nights together.

"Goodbye, Lulu."

Slowly, their hands separated and she watched as he and Thor left; probably never to return.

Tears welled up in her eyes.

"Goodbye, Loki."
